Castle farm road is a perfect base and boasts some lovely walks in the local nature reserve and along the River Avon of which you will find a fantastic range of pubs.

Nestled in the beautiful countryside hills between Bristol and Bath for that perfect escape. You'll be lucky enough to enjoy wonderful country walks on your doorstep whilst remaining within easy access to Bristol and Bath City Centres.

The space

Castle Farm Stay is a one-bedroom annexe. It has private access and an outdoor garden area solely for guests' use.

Guests will enjoy the beautiful living space with a comfy sofa, dining table and Smart TV. The kitchenette has everything you may need for a short getaway, including a microwave, kettle, toaster, a Nespresso coffee maker and drinks fridge.

The bedroom has a comfortable double bed, clothes storage and a Smart TV. The bathroom is a wetroom and boasts modern decor throughout; you'll also be able to keep your toes warm while showering with the underfloor heating.

Finally, the property boasts a spacious back garden with a firepit, Gas BBQ, and Bistro dining set so you can make the most of those warm summer evenings.

We provide off-street parking for one, small car, there is also plenty of off-street parking available.

If you're feeling adventurous, we're a stone's throw away from a great stretch of the River Avon, we have 2 x Hurley paddleboards you could hire subject to availability. This requires a river licence before use, so please enquire well in advance if you'd like to add this to your booking.

Guest access

While the property is for the sole use of the guests and will be entirely private, there is a door that links to the main property, which will be locked at all times.

Additional notes

My husband and I live on-site on the main property, and we'd be very happy to say hello. We're very respectful of guests' privacy and noise however there are times when our friendly dog (Toffee) and a friendly cat (Sooty) would like to make their presence known, for that reason it would be great if guests are okay with animals and don't mind the occasional hello from them now and again.

Neighborhood overview

Castle Farm Road is perfectly situated in-between Bristol and Bath and is seconds away from beautiful woodland walks. Just a short walk get's you to Hanham Common, where you'll find some local shops, a butchers and takeaways. Here you'll also be able to catch the number 44 bus into Bristol City Centre. Additionally, we're in the catchment area for Voi electric scooters, so if you'll prefer to get an electric scooter into town or surrounding areas you can do that too.

Hanham high-street is just a 15-minute walk away, or a 5-minute drive, along the high street you'll find independent cafe's and shops, a bakery, beauty salon's and a number of great restaurants, including an Italian, a dine-in Indian restaurant and a Turkish restaurant called Zest who do lovely cocktails (our favourite)!

On our road, you'll be just minutes away from the local nature reserve, where you'll be able to enjoy the lovely local walks. Just a 10 minute walk away brings you to the River Avon, which has some great wildlife and scenic areas. You're spoilt for choice for local country pubs, a short walk (about 25 mins door-to-door) along the river brings you to the Chequers and Old Lock and Weir, both of which do great food and have some beautiful outdoor seating overlooking the river. In the opposite direction you can also walk along the river (or a 5 min drive with parking) to Conham River Park where you will find a riverside view pop up cafe and outdoor seating for the perfect picnic spot.

There are several supermarkets to choose from in Longwell Green, including Asda, Lidl, and Aldi. We're about a 25-30 minute drive into the City of Bath, which offers a great day out for the famous Thermae Spa, great shopping, history and roman architecture and plenty of unique dining options.

Getting around

Guests have access to off-street parking for one car, and plenty of on-street parking on the road directly outside the property.

House Rules

- Please put the key back in the lockbox after your stay.
- No loud noises/music past 10 pm.
- Please inform us if you have damaged the property in any way.
- Please try to avoid any mud on the floor tiles.
- You're welcome to use the underfloor heating, please be respectful and turn it off when not needed.
- Please ensure safety precautions are taken when using the Firepit and the BBQ.
- Please keep to the maximum number of 2 guests in the property, please inform us if you are inviting additional people for a BBQ etc.
- Please be respectful of our property and neighbours.
